Denver to host 2017 Project Pabst music festival

“We got tremendously great feedback from the community from (last year’s Project Pabst),” Licko said. The day-long festival will once again take over the 2700 block of Larimer Street, with additional stages inside the Larimer Lounge and Meadowlark Kitchen, according to one of the festival’s organizers. 21, 2016. Project Pabst, the traveling music festival put on by Pabst Blue Ribbon, is coming back for another round. Courtney Barnett was scheduled for second billing, but had to pull out after she booked the season finale of SNL. Denver will return as a host to the event in 2017, RiNo Art District executive director Jamie Licko confirmed. (She made up the gig by playing Denver on election night last year.) Best Coast took her place. No word yet on who’ll be playing Denver’s Project Pabst 2017, but look for a lineup announcement in the coming weeks. The swanky new Denver Central Market will host a launch party and an afterparty for the event. Check out our six-pack of the best moments from Project Pabst here. Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats headlined last year’s Project Pabst. Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires perform during the Rino neighborhood’s Project Pabst on Saturday, May.   “It ended up being a win for the neighborhood.”
The second year of Denver’s Project Pabst is set to hit RiNo on Saturday, May 20.

Here’s another city that huge Colorado music festival is considering

That’s when its spring pottery sale hits the recreation center at City Park. But Denver isn’t the only Colorado city being considered. The event is slated for sometime in 2018. Several sites are being considered for the festival, including Denver’s Overland Golf Course. The Flaming Lips play the Gentlemen of the Road Salida Stopover in Salida, CO on 8/21/15. On Thursday, David Erlich, an independent consultant for AEG, confirmed that Westminster, “among a couple of other locations,” is also being looked at for the Colorado music festival.   If it does happen in Westminster, let’s hope it doesn’t go down in early May. Massive concert promoter AEG Live (Coachella) and festival organizer Superfly (Bonnaroo, Outside Lands) are in talks to collaborate on a massive music festival.
